ICA based Multi Converter Strategy for Improving Power Quality in Multi-Feeder System with Renewable Source Integration

Abstract


Growing technology in the current world brings many changes in modern power system topologies. Most of the changes in power system topologies have been made to achieve reliable power supply and to cope with increasing power needs of the world. In this paper, a two line dedicated source system is considered. Using Multi Converter Controller, power quality issues on both lines have been analyzed. Here an I cosine ANFIS (ICA) control strategy anticipated for shunt inverter and modified control strategy is utilized for series inverters for achieving effective harmonics alleviation. The shunt control strategy utilizes ANFIS for deducing optimal tuning of error. Proposed Controller is fed by PV renewable source to achieve green power injection along with supporting to DC link voltage. Inclusion of soft computing methods improves the overall performance of the controlling techniques.  Proposed Multi Converter controller effectively mitigates voltage and current abnormalities. Over all system with proposed controllers is analyzed in MATLAB/SIMULINK platform.
